Webly Bowles is a Sustainability Director at WAP Sustainability, a full-service sustainability consulting firm. As a licensed architect, her sustainable building experience includes principles of design, construction, and operation. She has developed sustainable and energy efficiency building programs for global Fortune 500 companies and state-wide programs alike, providing measurable results. At WAP, Webly leads the development of embodied carbon policy and programs, infusing a systems thinking approach to program development. She also interprets technical requirements to provide actionable steps for easy implementation. Prior to joining WAP, Webly led NBI’s carbon lifecycle research, created embodied carbon codes and standard strategies, and supported jurisdictions to meet their greenhouse gas emission goals. Webly holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon. In 2024, she was appointed by Oregon’s governor to serve on the Oregon Sustainability Board.
