The Maryland Energy Innovation Institute will provide a platform to catalyze basic research into new technology while stimulating economic growth and improving millions of lives across the state of Maryland. Critical Materials InstituteAmes, IA

The Critical Materials Institute is a U.S. DOE Energy Innovation Hub led by the Ames Laboratory that seeks to accelerate innovative scientific and technological solutions to develop resilient and secure supply chains for rare-earth materials critical to the success of clean energy technologies.

The research of the Energy Innovation Laboratory is dedicated to defining current issues on energy storage/conversion devices and innovating the materials and systems to develop the future in energy technologies.

Energy Systems LaboratoryCollege Station, TX

The Energy Systems Laboratory directs its efforts toward innovative technologies and systems, as well as commercializing affordable results for industry. It has made major contributions to improved energy efficiency by focusing limited resources on neglected topics, such as determination of the environmental benefits of reduced energy use and analysis of savings from energy efficiency projects, among others.

The University of Idaho’s Integrated Design Lab in Boise is dedicated to education, outreach, and technical support for high performance energy-efficient building design. Integrated Design LabBozeman, MT

The Integrated Design Lab in Bozeman offers integrated design services to maximize energy efficiency including daylight and electric lighting analysis, energy modeling, and lighting systems consultations. As part of a larger lab network, IDL Bozeman works to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of energy consumption, through project analysis, consulting, and training workshops.

The Energy Innovation Center offers training, education and innovation around energy efficiency technologies and green building practices. The center is an education resource designed as a training facility to showcase innovative technologies in one place. The double LEED® platinum facility lets you explore an interactive Smart Home and green building practices throughout the center.

San Jose Environmental Innovation CenterSan Jose, CA

The San Jose Environmental Innovation Center (EIC) is a first-of-its-kind “green enterprise” facility and the first municipal building to earn LEED Platinum certification for new construction. It houses services for residents and clean tech entrepreneurs including: a Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a hazardous waste drop-off facility, and an innovation hub from Prospect Silicon Valley.

Zero Emissions Building ExchangeVancouver, BC

The Zero Emissions Building Exchange is a collaborative platform that strengthens the public, private and civic capabilities for zero emission buildings in Vancouver and British Columbia. The Exchange fosters innovation through dialogues, project tours, curated research, training and demonstrations. They work closely with all facets of the industry, including developers, builders, architects and designers spanning single family homes to high rise residential and commercial buildings.
