Tom Marseille, P.E., Hon AIA, LEED BD + C, is Managing Director for WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff Seattle Buildings office where his passion and expertise focus on delivering high performance building solutions to clients—solutions that are practical, maintainable and resource-responsible. An author of numerous published papers and frequent speaker, Tom has worked on multiple net zero and ultra-low energy projects in the Western United States and is proud to lead a practice in Seattle that boasts numerous regional and national awards for high performance building design. Tom focuses on integrative HVAC design, delivery of best-in-class building performance outcomes, total cost of ownership (life cycle cost) analysis, capital asset assessment and planning, and renewable energy applications.
Tom currently sits on City of Seattle’s Living Building Pilot Program Technical Advisory Group and AIA Seattle Board of Directors. He was previously a member of the ILFI/Cascadia Board of Directors and has served on the technical committee responsible for development of the first ANSI-accredited Green Building standard. He developed content as a presenter and moderator for the AIA+2030 Professional Series both locally and in support of the roll-out of this program nationally, and more recently for the AIA Getting to Zero Professional Series.
