Tom is an architect, engineer and author. As MKK’s Performance + Design Innovation Lead, he works at the visionary intersection of architecture and engineering and leads MKK’s Innovation Lab. Tom is dedicated to creating the future of building performance by advancing net positive energy, water and health solutions that bring new value and capacity to people and places.

Tom is a pioneer in net zero energy design and a thought leader in the industry, working on some of the mountain region’s most high performing buildings, including NREL’s Research Support Facility, and Denver Water’s net zero energy and ‘One Water’ administration building. Tom recently published “Net Zero Energy Design,” a leading design reference on the topic and speaks regularly at regional, national and international conferences.
