Roger Frechette is well known in the world of architecture and infrastructure as a leader in sustainable design. He specializes in energy efficiency and conservation, and uses modeling and analysis studies in his work to provide designs that are cost effective as well as high-performance. Roger’s international and domestic work encompasses building systems and master planning designs for new, existing, and historic buildings, ranging from high-rises, mixed-use facilities and hotels, to government buildings, museums, laboratories, airports, hospitals, and academic facilities. In 2004, he was recognized by the U.S. Congress for achievements in the field of sustainable engineering and design. During this presentation, Roger will review AGU’s engineering strategies and conservation measures. He will also outline the systems approach and provide details on several innovative net-zero applications.
