Patrick Smith is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Sustainable Building Research at the University of Minnesota and project manager for the B3 Guidelines and SB 2030 Program. His area of focus is development and implementation of sustainable building programs and multi-scalar energy use and carbon emission reduction efforts. His research experience includes building performance auditing, affordable housing sustainable program development and implementation, building performance benchmarking, and whole building life cycle assessment. He teaches environmental technology in the undergraduate and graduate architecture programs at the University of Minnesota.
