Jon Griesser is the Supervisor of Energy and Climate Programs for the County of San Luis Obispo. His current portfolio includes administering regional energy efficiency programs serving hard to reach residential customers and building professionals on the Central Coast; overseeing the County’s climate action plan; and managing two grant funded projects exploring the feasibility, design, and implementation of an EcoDistrict and a Zero Net Energy Neighborhood in a disadvantaged community. He serves on the boards of the California Rural and Hard to Reach Working Group and the San Luis Obispo County Green Business Program, and volunteers for the SLO Climate Coalition. Prior to working in the public sector in California, Jon was a sustainability consultant in Vermont working with cities, universities, and corporations. Jon has a master’s degree in environmental science and policy from Bard College and a master’s degree in business administration from Champlain College.
