Jeremy started his professional career working in the mortgage industry utilizing his education in financial management. During this time, he became aware of the necessity in changing the way we currently build, underwrite, and finance our buildings. After becoming increasingly interested in sustainability and how this industry can help this cause, he decided to go back to school to obtain a Masters in Urban Planning while focusing on sustainability and the built environment. Upon completing his thesis he started working for stok in developing life cycle cost models utilizing discounted cash flow analysis to create the financial business case for sustainability. This work has continued to grow to incorporate and account for the financial impacts to organizations largest asset, their people. Currently living with his wife, son, and dog in Santa Cruz, CA (with plans to move to Boulder, CO before the end of the year!), Jeremy is dedicated to continue to keep proving the business case for sustainability and high performance buildings.
