Heath Blount manages Brightworks’ Northern California practice. Heath is a distinguished project leader in the San Francisco Bay Area, leading the implementation of sustainability programs for some of the most recognized developments in the region. He has nearly a decade of experience managing LEED and energy efficiency programs for both new developments and existing buildings.
Heath’s recent work includes managing projects pursuing ILFI Zero Carbon Certification, and managing custom programs to improve the health and sustainability of building materials, including their human health and embodied carbon impacts.
As a designer at Mazria Odems Dzurec earlier in his career, Heath worked closely with Ed Mazria during the establishment of the Architecture 2030 program. Heath is an alumnus of the Arcosanti Urban Laboratory, architect Paolo Soleri’s renowned experimental community in Arizona, where residents explore new forms of urban design and development that minimize destructive impacts on the earth.
