What does my pass include?
Full Forum Pass
The Full Forum Pass provides access to all portions of the conference, beginning on Monday, October 5, 2026, and ending on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Student Full Forum Pass
Student discounts are available to undergraduate and graduate students with proof of enrollment. Please contact us at gettingtozeroforum@newbuildings.org to access student pricing.
Attendees will be required to show Student ID when checking in.
Tuesday Day Pass
Tuesday Day Passes will be available after advance registration ends. A Tuesday Day Pass includes admission to all plenaries, keynotes, breakout sessions, meals, and receptions on Tuesday, October 6 only.
Single Passes to Workshops or Tours
Single passes for workshops and tours will be available after advance registration ends. Workshop and tour details will be added to the agenda as they are confirmed.
Onsite registration for workshops and tours will not be available.
Sharing Passes
Sharing of attendee passes is not allowed. One pass per person only. This applies to the duration of the event.
How do I pay?
Attendees must pay via credit card at the time of registration.
Where can I find travel accommodations?
Special group hotel rates, booking dates, transportation directions, and fun things to do in New York will be added to gettingtozeroforum.org soon.
What if I cannot attend?
If you must cancel your event registration, the following cancellation terms apply. Cancellations received before Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT will be refunded minus the processing fees of $25. Cancellations received on or after Saturday, September 5, 2026, will not be refunded, regardless of registration type.

What is your COVID-19 policy? Do I need to show proof of vaccination?
The health and safety of all GTZ Forum attendees is our top priority. We closely monitor government mandates and policy changes, local and venue guidelines, and public health announcements. As information about the virus continues to develop, we will adjust our approach as needed and keep you up to date with new developments to ensure a coordinated effort and a safe environment for all GTZ Forum attendees.
COVID-19 Vaccinations
GTZ Forum follows state, local, and venue requirements, including requirements to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. As information about COVID-19 requirements changes, we will update as needed based on state, local, and venue requirements.
GTZ Forum 2026 is being held in New York, NY, where authorities do not require proof of vaccination to enter indoor venues.
Face Coverings
We follow state and local guidelines related to face coverings. In New York, NY, face masks are not required in most public indoor settings. At GTZ Forum, face masks will be optional, and individuals can wear a mask if they choose.
Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants at NBI events. We expect all participants in our community to contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment that supports diversity and inclusion.
Unacceptable behavior
We will not tolerate unacceptable behavior from any community member. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment or intimidation based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, appearance, gender identity, gender expression, or other legally protected group status.
- Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact.
- Distribution of written or graphic material that denigrates, shows hostility, aversion, or unwelcome attention.
- Yelling at or threatening speakers or others (verbally or physically).
Participants asked to stop the above behavior must comply immediately and without retaliation. If they do not abide by these rules, we may remove them from the premises, refuse a refund, and ban them from future NBI events.
Reporting Behavior
Please report any behavior you observe or experience at an NBI event that conflicts with this Code of Conduct. If you are being harassed or feel uncomfortable, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the NBI event staff immediately.
Event Entry
New Buildings Institute reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to the event to any entity or individual. Receipt of an application and/or payment does not constitute an acceptance. Applications and/or payments that are not accepted will be returned.

Photo and Video Release
By registering for GTZ Forum, attendees agree to let New Building Institute to photograph, film, and record them and to use the resulting photographs, films, and recordings, and their picture and likeness, together with any other material, in any manner or media whatsoever (whether now known or hereafter devised) anywhere in the world in perpetuity for the purposes of advertising or trade in promoting and publicizing events and services.
Can I earn CEUs at GTZ Forum?
Yes. Forum sessions can count toward continuing education for many building, energy, design, and policy professionals. We provide documentation of the sessions you attend, which you submit to your licensing body or professional association to claim credit.
How does it work?
Credit is self-reported. We’ll provide a detailed record of the sessions you attended; you submit it to the organization that governs your license or certification, following their process. Because requirements differ by profession, we recommend confirming your board’s self-reporting rules before the Forum, so you know what to bring back.
What’s included in the documentation?
We’ll include the title, date, time, description, learning objectives, and presenter names of the sessions you attended.
What do I need to do at the Forum?
Confirm your attendance at each session by signing the session roster. Keep track of which sessions you attend so your record matches what you submit.
Is there an extra fee?
No — session documentation is included with your registration.
When will I receive my documentation?
We’ll email your session record to you by November 6, 2026.
