Mr. Murtaugh received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada in Electrical Engineering in December 2002 and obtained licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon in December 2007. Mr. Murtaugh has nearly 19 years of experience in the utility industry having begun his career in Transmission Operations at Sierra Pacific Power Company in Reno, Nevada, before moving to Portland General Electric where he worked as a Transmission Planner, Distribution Planner, and T&D Project Manager. Mr. Murtaugh also has 7 years of experience managing T&D Planning for PGE and is currently the manager of PGE’s new Grid Edge Solutions team which has the responsibility for delivering the company’s Energy Storage and Resiliency strategies.
