Brett Bridgeland

Energy Engineer | Seventhwave

Brett has ten years of experience across the fields of energy engineering, architecture, utility programs and energy consulting. He possesses a unique, real-world, cross-disciplinary perspective on high-performance design across multiple scales and sectors. In his current role with Seventhwave, he currently serves as program implementation manager and energy engineer for ComEd’s New Construction Energy Efficiency Program.

Prior to his role at Seventhwave, Brett worked with the Rocky Mountain Institute, specifically focusing on: technical development of innovating engineering and financing solutions for net zero energy districts; macro-scale energy efficiency analysis of the Chinese building sector; and facilitation of energy planning workshops. As an architect with Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture in Chicago, Brett worked on international design projects ranging from district-scale master plans to high-performance towers, and led concept design teams for projects that won major design awards.

Brett received an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering (concentration in Atmosphere/Energy) from Stanford University. He received an M.Arch and B.S. in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign.
