Bill Maclay is the author of The New Net-Zero, and founding principal of Maclay Architects of Waitsfield (VT). Bill has been recognized as a leader in innovative, ecological planning and architectural design since 1971. Maclay Architects specializes in net-zero energy design and was the recipient of the 2012 NESEA Zero Net Energy Building Award. Among the firm’s net-zero, near-net-zero, and net-zero-ready projects are NRG Systems, an office and manufacturing facility, the Bennington Superior Courthouse and State Office Building, the George D. Aiken Center at the University of Vermont, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Bosarge Family Education Center, SunCommon headquarters, Waitsfield and Moretown Town Offices, and numerous homes.
