Alex Wilson

Alex Wilson is president of the Resilient Design Institute, a nonprofit organization founded in 2012 to advance practical strategies for enhancing the resilience of buildings and communities—with a special focus on strategies that support sustainability as well as resilience. He is also the founder of BuildingGreen, Inc. (in 1985) and served for many years as president and executive editor of Environmental Building News (now the BuildingGreen Report). Alex has written hundreds of articles on resilience, green building, and the environment, and he is author or coauthor of several books, including Your Green Home (New Society, 2007), the ACEEE Consumer Guide to Home energy Savings (1990; 13th edition, 2012), Green Development: Integrating Ecology and Real Estate (John Wiley & Sons. 1998).
