Holly Lennihan is the Director of Sustainable Design and a Senior Associate with Hickok Cole, a forward-focused design practice based in Washington, DC. During her 18 years with the firm, she has built an impressive portfolio of re-positioning, historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects, leveraging that experience to spearhead the firm’s growing high-performance building practice. Holly currently serves as project manager for American Geophysical Union’s headquarters renovation project, which is set to become the first net zero energy renovation of an existing building in the nation’s capital. She also oversaw Hickok Cole’s multi-year consulting grant with DC’s Department of Energy and the Environment, providing budget analysis for short- and long-term costs associated with building sustainable infrastructure. Holly graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Fine Arts and holds a Masters of Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.
