Brandon Nicholson is a founding principal of Nicholson Kovalchick (NK) Architects, board president of Passive House Western Pennsylvania, and advisor to the p4 Pittsburgh project. He is passionate about reducing the impact of buildings on global climate change, utilizing his research and development projects to establish a cost-effective method to deliver net-zero energy buildings now. He and his team have been honored with the 2014 AIA Housing Award for its design of the city of Seattle’s first certified Passive House; honored with Laura Nettleton of Thoughtful Balance with PHFA 2017 Innovation and Design Award for Morningside Crossing; and named a Circle of Excellence member for its exceptional, forward-thinking approach to management and design.
