Erika Niedowski

Erika Niedowski is Policy Advocate in Providence, Rhode Island, where she works to implement Acadia Center’s priorities on energy efficiency, clean energy, and electrification in Rhode Island. She most recently served in Rhode Island state government as Communications Director for the Lieutenant Governor with a policy portfolio that included energy issues. Erika began her career in 1995 as a journalist, working for outlets including The Baltimore Sun and The Associated Press. She has written and edited on issues ranging from Rhode Island state politics to federal energy and environmental policy. Erika holds a BA in History with an English minor from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning Department at Tufts University.
