Stefani Danes

Co-Chair, Renovations Committee | East Liberty Presbyterian Church

Stefani is a registered architect with a strong interest in ecological aspects of buildings and cities. She has over twenty years’ experience on the faculty of the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, where she teaches design. She is accredited as a LEED design professional, a Certified Passive House Consultant, and a Certified Permaculture Designer. She led an award-winning private practice for sixteen years and was a founding principal of Perkins Eastman Architects Pittsburgh office, where she started and ran the firm-wide Green Design Group, which educates staff, clients, and consultants on green building practices and performance-focused design. Recent projects include a LEED platinum community center, several LEED gold projects, and East Liberty’s Green Vision.
