Nicole Laky is the Energy & Resource Program Manager for King County Metro Transit where she oversees energy conservation for Metro’s buildings. She has nearly 20 years of experience in operational energy, water, and waste conservation at publicly owned commercial buildings in the Pacific Northwest. Nicole works to maximize efficiency on new construction and equipment upgrades, and partners with frontline staff to streamline building operations. She develops ambitious-but-achievable conservation goals that meet agency-wide targets in addition to ensuring compliance with city, county, and state building efficiency requirements. She is passionate about removing barriers to conservation in the operation, construction, and management of buildings.
