What does my pass include?
Full Forum Pass
The Full Forum Pass provides access to all portions of the conference, beginning with the Welcome Plenary on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 and ending with the Closing Plenary on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Passes for workshops and tours on April 22 must be purchased separately.
Student Full Forum Pass
Student discounts are available to undergraduate and graduate students with proof of enrollment. Please contact us at gettingtozeroforum@newbuildings.org to access student pricing.
Passes for workshops and tours on April 22 must be purchased separately.
Attendees will be required to show Student ID when checking in.
Day Pass
Day Passes are available after early bird sales have ended. A Day Pass on Wednesday or Thursday includes admission to all plenaries, keynotes breakout sessions, meals and receptions for the day pass is purchased only. Registration for Day Passes will not be available until after early bird registration ends.

Pre-Conference Workshop and Tour Pass
Separate registration is required for all pre-conference workshops and tours. These will be added to the agenda as they are confirmed, and you can register for these (or add them to your existing registration) at any time.
Onsite registration for workshops will not be available.
Sharing Passes
Sharing of attendee passes is not allowed. One pass per person only. This applies to the duration of the event.
How do I pay?
Attendees must pay via credit card at the time of registration.

What are the pre-conference workshop and tour options for 2025?
Pre-conference workshops and tours will be announced as they are confirmed. Stay tuned!
What if I cannot attend?
If you must cancel your event registration, the following cancellation terms apply. Cancellations received before Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:59 PM PT will be refunded minus the processing fees of $25.
Cancellations received on or after Saturday, March 22, 2025, will not be refunded, regardless of registration type.

What is your COVID-19 policy? Do I need to show proof of vaccination?
The health and safety of all Getting to Zero Forum attendees is our top priority. We closely monitor government mandates and policy changes, local and venue guidelines, and public health announcements. As information about the virus continues to develop, we will adjust our approach as needed and keep you up to date with new developments to ensure a coordinated effort and a safe environment for all Getting to Zero Forum attendees.
COVID-19 Vaccinations
The Getting to Zero Forum follows state, local, and venue requirements, including requirements to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. As information about COVID-19 requirements changes, we will update as needed based on state, local, and venue requirements.
Getting To Zero Forum 2024 is being held in Los Angeles, CA, where authorities do not require proof of vaccination to enter indoor venues.
Face Coverings
We follow state and local guidelines related to face coverings. In Los Angeles, CA, face masks are not required in most public indoor settings. At the Getting to Zero Forum, face masks will be optional, and individuals can wear a mask if they choose.
Enhanced Cleaning
The Getting to Zero Forum 2024 is being held at The Westin Bonaventure. This property advises that enhanced cleaning and guest safety measures are currently in place. For information on hotel policies, please contact the hotel directly at 213.624.1000.
Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants at NBI events. We expect all participants in our community to contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment that supports diversity and inclusion.
Unacceptable behavior
We will not tolerate unacceptable behavior from any community member. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment or intimidation based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, appearance, gender identity, gender expression, or other legally protected group status.
- Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact.
- Distribution of written or graphic material that denigrates, shows hostility, aversion, or unwelcome attention.
- Yelling at or threatening speakers or others (verbally or physically).
Participants asked to stop the above behavior must comply immediately and without retaliation. If they do not abide by these rules, we may remove them from the premises, refuse a refund, and ban them from future NBI events.
Reporting Behavior
Please report any behavior you observe or experience at an NBI event that conflicts with this Code of Conduct. If you are being harassed or feel uncomfortable, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the NBI event staff immediately.
Event Entry
New Buildings Institute reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to the event to any entity or individual. Receipt of an application and/or payment does not constitute an acceptance. Applications and/or payments that are not accepted will be returned.

Photo and Video Release
By registering for the Getting to Zero Forum, attendees agree to let New Building Institute to photograph, film, and record them and to use the resulting photographs, films, and recordings, and their picture and likeness, together with any other material, in any manner or media whatsoever (whether now known or hereafter devised) anywhere in the world in perpetuity for the purposes of advertising or trade in promoting and publicizing events and services.
