Alexandra Ramsden is a Director at Brightworks Sustainability, where she helps lead Brightworks’ consulting operations, project delivery process, firm strategy and business development efforts. With more than 20 years of experience in climate responsive design, Alexandra has developed expertise in Living Building Challenge (LBC), LEED, WELL, and other sustainability frameworks, as well as regenerative design, energy and embodied carbon analysis and optimization. At Brightworks, she leverages this depth of technical knowledge alongside strengths in integrative design, project oversight and team management in order to deliver high-quality project results and cultivate strong client relationships.
Alexandra joins Brightworks from her role as Principal at Rushing in Seattle, WA, where she led the company’s Sustainability, Energy & Commissioning practice and acted as account executive on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering projects. While at Rushing, she led teams and facilitated workshops in achieving a range of sustainability, energy and engineering goals, including comprehensive sustainability plans, Net-Zero Energy, pre-development ecosystem studies (regenerative design), full Living Building Challenge certification, and city-scale sustainability incentive programs.
