Luke Hollenkamp is a Sustainability Program Coordinator with the City of Minneapolis, with a focus on decarbonizing the City’s buildings and energy systems. Bringing experience in sustainable building design and energy policy, Luke collaborates with the local electric and gas utilities via the Minneapolis Clean Energy Partnership to transform the City’s built environment and transition the community to carbon-free, climate-friendly energy sources.
Luke earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado and a Master of Science in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Luke has worked for the City since 2016 and during that time has helped usher in millions of dollars of new energy conservation assistance for city residents and businesses, implemented new energy disclosure policies, facilitated energy transition strategy for city leadership, and represented the City of Minneapolis in international convenings for other leading climate action cities.
