Dedicated to enabling energy efficiency in buildings through building science, Smita has more than two decades of experience performing and managing techno-economic for path breaking green buildings. Clients have included design firms such as Fox & Fowle, Perkins+Will, and Kenny+Khan Architects. Projects have included the New York Times and Bank of America headquarters, Astra Zeneca HQ in Maryland, and a Net Zero classroom for NYC Schools.
Smita is a published author, blogger, and speaker on Integrated Design and Net Zero. Smita is an active member of the community of DC energy professionals. She served as elected Vice-Chair of the 2018 Market Leadership Advisory Board (MLAB) of the USGBC-NCR, on the leadership group of DMV-NZE Coalition, and has been nominated to the Joint Environmental Taskforce (JET) of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
