Prodipto Roy is a Program Officer at Energy Innovation, where he works with the firm’s clients to create strategies that achieve their climate and energy philanthropy goals. He has almost a decade of experience working in clean energy, energy efficiency, energy access, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable development.
Prior to joining EI, Prodipto worked at ClimateWorks Foundation, where he focused on decarbonizing the building and industry sectors, as well as promulgating the development of novel negative emission solutions. Prodipto led several portfolios and campaigns focused on reducing emissions through public and private procurement, supporting the development of low-carbon solutions and alternatives to high-energy and emission building materials, promoting energy efficiency and clean energy in materials, equipment, and processes. During his tenure at the organization, Prodipto authored and co-authored several articles and publications.
He began his career in the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, where he focused on greening the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and adapting water resource infrastructure against climate change impacts. Prodipto holds a Bachelors in Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and he is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
