Maddie Liput is the Building Policy Manager at MEEA. As such, she works to improve energy efficiency in buildings in the Midwest by advancing building energy codes, benchmarking ordinances, and building performance standards. Maddie is also an attorney licensed in Illinois and Missouri with eight years of experience in the legal and policymaking professions. During that time, she has had the opportunity to work on environmental and health related matters within law firm and in-house settings. Maddie utilizes her skill set in legal research, oral and written communication, and advising stakeholders and decisionmakers to develop strong energy efficiency policies and ensure their effective implementation and compliance.
