Johanna Partin is Deputy Director of the Building Decarbonization Coalition, which unites building industry stakeholders with energy providers, environmental organizations and local governments to eliminate fossil fuels from buildings in leading states in the US. Formerly, Johanna was the Founder and Director of the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance, a collaboration of global cities committed to achieving carbon neutrality in the next 10-20 years—the most aggressive greenhouse gas reduction targets undertaken by any cities anywhere. Previously, Johanna served as North America Regional Director for the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, and Senior Policy Advisor on Environment to San Francisco Mayors Gavin Newsom and Edwin Lee. Johanna has 30 years’ experience in the fields of climate change, renewable energy, microfinance, sustainable development, gender and equity.
