Jared Levie is a fifth year bachelor of architecture student at the University of Oregon. After traveling abroad and working in various construction trades Jared went back to school to explore his interest in sustainable design. Jared has always enjoyed the outdoors and thought seriously about influences of our built environment. He is passionate about designing environments that facilitate a connection to nature and the balance it brings. Jared enjoys exploring alternative ways of defining space, particularly how structure can be used as an architectural element. Jared is excited to build on his experience competing in the Solar Decathlon and the potential to design net zero schools that utilize architecture as the third teacher.
