Ms. Barata has over 25 years of experience in the energy research and evaluation industry and is considered one of the nation’s foremost process and market assessment evaluators. Ms. Barata has led, or played key roles, in the evaluation of numerous education and training programs, marketing campaigns, non-energy benefit studies, as well as behavior-based energy efficiency, renewable and demand response programs.
She is a key industry influencer through her service to several professional organizations including chairing the 2013 International Energy Program Evaluation Conference (IEPEC) and serving as contributing advisor to the Behavior, Energy and Climate Change (BECC) conference since its inception. She also serves on the AESP program committee for its national conference.
Ms. Barata is currently the president-elect for IEPEC and is a director-at-large on the board for the Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA).
