Jose has been leading, developing and directing innovative and comprehensive sustainability strategies for a broad range of projects for more than 15 years. As the leader of the sustainability team for Thornton Tomasetti in New York City, his daily routine encompasses sustainability reporting, energy efficiency analysis, green building certifications like LEED, WELL, LBC, and Green Globes, health and wellness research and education, greenhouse gas, policy standards, energy code analysis and water efficiency and carbon metrics analysis. He specializes in the analysis of systems and strategies in new and existing buildings and the implementation of new applied technologies to achieve building performance goals. Jose is an architect by training and alumni of Arizona State University’s Energy Performance program. In his free time he enjoys photography, museums and live music as well as traveling abroad.
