Dr. Georg Reichard is a Professor and Department Head of Building Construction and the Associate Director for Research in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech, where he is also the Director of the Building Enclosure and Systems Technology (BEST) Lab. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses covering building science and building systems technologies and has coached numerous student teams participating in DOE competitions. In his research he explores experimental and numerical methods as they relate to building envelopes and environmental systems. He holds a Master’s Degree and a Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering from Graz University of Technology, Austria, and is a licensed professional engineer (AE) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
