Bakari Kennedy serves as the Director of Facilities/Sustainability Manager for Suncoast Credit Union headquartered in Tampa, Florida. He has 18 years of experience in engineering, quality control, project management, and energy auditing.

He is recognized for his services implementing MEP sustainable designs and received the 2017 Sustany Foundation Sustainable Business Award and 2017 USGBC Outstanding Green Business Commitment Award. The 4,000 SF Suncoast Bushnell and Wauchula Service Centers completed Net Zero verifications and the recently completed 7,000 SF Ft Myers Training Center and 10,000SF Riverdale service center are also Net Zero. The Suncoast Member Call Center includes a 400kW solar array.

Earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida; Bakari is a Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC1261483), a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM®), he is also a LEED® AP with a BD+C designation.
