Annie Koch, PE, LEED AP is a Consulting Engineer with DNV GL’s Sustainable Buildings and Communities. She specializes in sustainable practices, energy analysis, and technical assessments of high-performance and Zero Net Energy projects. Annie holistically advises on energy efficiency systems, passive sustainability, water efficiency systems, and sizing of photovoltaic arrays through benchmarking, energy modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and daylighting. She has provided energy modeling training and review of whole building design incentive applications for utility programs across the United States. Most recently, she has aided in the design and implementation of the Consumers Energy’s Zero Net Energy Pilot program, provided ZNE technical assistance for multiple BayREN municipal buildings, and created prototypical ZNE models of various building types based existing building stock designs and vintages for the Peninsula Advanced Energy Community (PAEC) to analyze the cost-effectiveness of various energy efficiency measures for the region.
