Amy Upton, AIA and LEED Fellow, has spent her 20-year career at Grimm + Parker Architects focusing on designing sustainable, public buildings. She balances her roles as Principal, Director of Environmental Design, and Project Architect on K-12 Schools, Recreation Centers, Libraries, and Blended Facilities. Amy was co-Project Manager for two LEED Zero Energy and LEED Platinum Pre-K-Grade 8 schools in Baltimore City that opened Fall 2020 and demonstrate high performance passive and energy efficient strategies with signage, art, display windows, and real-time energy dashboards that tie in with environmental curriculum. She is currently working on the design of other Zero Energy projects in Maryland and Virginia.
