Bill has been a passionate advocate for climate, green building and environmental policy for decades, and is recognized as a leader in green building, urban sustainable development, and climate policy and planning. He currently serves as a principal with the deep green engineering and sustainable consulting company, Integral Group. Prior to joining Integral Group, Bill spearheaded green building and climate policy for the city government in Washington, DC, managed projects for a renewable energy company, managed construction for a deep green design/build firm, and served as a sales rep for a green building supply company. In the early part of his career, Bill worked as an environmental journalist for two national magazines.
Bill’s extensive work on green building, energy, and climate mitigation and adaptation has earned him multiple awards including a Living Building Challenge Hero Award (from the International Living Future Institute) and a BOLD Award at Greenbuild in 2015. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree from the University of Arizona.
