Matthew Trowbridge is a physician and scientist who says he’s happiest when integrating new ideas and approaches in his work. He’s currently focused on the impact of architecture, urban design and transportation on public health—and one of his personal passions is making sure people-first places are equitable, reaching as many people as possible around the world. Matt is an associate professor at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He is principal investigator for the Green Health Partnership, a multiyear initiative between UVA and the U.S. Green Building Council to drive increased consideration of health and well-being in the real estate industry. He also is the co-founder and lead instructor for the UVA Medical Design Program. Matt is board certified in general pediatrics and preventive medicine, with medical and public health degrees from Emory University.
