Anne Shellum is a licensed Professional Engineer with experience in energy master planning, building system design and retrofits, and sustainability consulting. She currently works for Sidewalk Labs on the Affordable Electrification team, designing home energy management software to lower the cost of energy decarbonization. Prior to Sidewalk, Anne led energy strategy and planning projects with the Cities group at Buro Happold, where she focused on aligning building energy strategy with transitioning energy markets and policy. She has also worked as a mechanical engineer at Arup. Anne teaches at the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, and serves as the Co-chair for the AIANY Committee on the Environment.
