Val Stori (she/her) joined the Great Plains Institute in April 2022 as a Senior Program Manager on the Renewable Energy Team. Val brings over twenty years of experience in national clean energy policy and natural resource management. She worked as a Project Director at the Clean Energy States Alliance for over a decade where she developed and managed its building electrification project as well as led its offshore wind policy work. Prior to her work in renewable energy, Val led conservation and natural resource management programs for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
Val sits on the board of several non-profit organizations and town committees including the Town of Underhill’s Planning Commission. She holds a B.A. from Middlebury College and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from the Vermont Law School. She earned a certificate from Yale’s Financing and Deploying Clean Energy Program. In her free time, you can find Val running in the mountains or trying her hand at a new culinary creation.
