A design architect with Architecture for Education, Sylvia Wallis creates sustainable interventions to build community and enhance sense of place. Projects include the West Berkeley Public Library (LEED Platinum COTE TopTen award winner and certified Zero Net Energy Living Building) and performance criteria for the new California Air Resources Board emissions testing facility (targeting 100% carbon emissions mitigation and LEED v4 Platinum). In 2018 she co-authored the Advanced Energy Design Guide for zero energy K-12 schools. Sylvia is a Certified Passive House Consultant since 2009 and previously served on the Passive House California Board of Directors.
