Matt Casale is a climate and environmental campaign specialist, with a background in law and policy. As a senior manager at the Building Decarbonization Coalition, Matt works to advance policy and market conditions necessary to phase out fossil fuel use in buildings. Prior to joining the Building Decarbonization Coalition, Matt was the director of environment campaigns for the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), where he led the organization’s climate and transportation programs and worked on state and federal climate policy, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act. He also clerked for the Honorable Alfred S. Irving, Jr., in D.C. Superior Court. Matt is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School and lives in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, with his wife and two daughters.
