Lauren Baldwin

Senior Manager | RE Tech Advisors

Lauren Baldwin has 11 years of experience in sustainability program management, including three years of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)-specific program development experience, and seven years of experience in sustainability program development, grant management, and environmental education/outreach.

As a Senior Manager with RE Tech Advisors, Lauren provides strategic oversight to a team of Sustainability Managers who support several clients at every stage of the sustainability program development process, from policy development to greenhouse gas emissions reporting to property-level decarbonization strategy support.

Previously, in 2018, Lauren started Creosote Collaborative, the first sustainability and urban planning consulting firm in El Paso. In 2020, Creosote Collaborative merged with Quantum Engineering Consultants to broaden the scope and offerings of both companies. As the Director of Sustainability for Quantum Engineering Consultants, she managed community projects that promoted health and sustainability, safe and complete streets, and equitable and inclusive design.

Prior to Creosote, Lauren was the Sustainability Coordinator for the City of El Paso for almost six years. She helped acquire over $600,000 in grant funding, implemented projects that have diverted over 300 tons of waste from the landfill, and saved almost $30,000 on our City’s electric bills as a result of employee energy savings challenges.

Lauren graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and a focus in Environmental Policy and Planning (2011), and later received her MBA from the University of Texas at El Paso (2015).

Lauren served two terms as an appointee to the EPA’s Good Neighbor Environmental Board, which advises the Council of Environmental Quality and the President on environmental resilience issues in communities along the U.S.- Mexico border. She also volunteered as Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council West Texas Advisory Council, as a founder of the Velo Paso Bicycle Pedestrian Coalition, and Conference Planning Manager for the West Texas Urban Forestry Council.

Lauren is also a LEED Accredited Professional (through USGBC) for Neighborhood Development (LEED AP ND).
