Farhad Farahmand

Senior Project Manager | TRC

Mr. Farahmand has served a variety of roles related to energy efficiency and sustainable development. Mr. Farahmand provides technical oversight cost effectiveness analysis and stakeholder engagement for TRC’s codes and standards projects. Farhad has lately been working on reach code cost effectiveness analysis focusing on energy efficiency, zero net energy, and electrification for many cities and community choice energy providers across California. At TRC, Mr. Farahmand also participates in research and market transformation activities for emerging technologies, such as high-performance sequences of operation and thermally active building systems, as well evaluation support services.

In the past, he has assessed economic and greenhouse-gas impacts of community gardens, combined heat and power infrastructure, and net zero energy/water/waste developments. Mr. Farahmand holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley, and a M.S. in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California, and a LEED AP. Mr. Farahmand leverages his knowledge of efficient systems and standards to manage a diverse set of projects.
