Dr. Carrie Brown is a Senior Technical Consultant at Resource Refocus LLC where she specializes in zero net energy (ZNE) and zero carbon (ZC) research and consulting for commercial, residential, and multifamily buildings, as well as state and federal energy policy research. She is active in the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) professional communities, where she is the Vice President of IBPSA-USA and the Chair of the 2020 ASHRAE/IBPSA-USA Building Performance Analysis/SimBuild Conference. Dr. Brown holds a Ph.D. in Building Technology from MIT, an M.S. in Architecture with a concentration in Building Science from UC Berkeley, and a B.S in Architecture from MIT.
