Ashita Gona is an associate on RMI’s Carbon-Free Buildings team, where she works with stakeholders in the Mid-Atlantic to transition the region’s buildings away from fossil fuels. Ashita brings a strong communications background to her work, having previously worked at Climate Nexus promoting building electrification in the news media. She has also worked as a environmental journalism fellow, as an intern at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and as a freelance writer. Ashita holds a B.A. in Media and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University.
