Scholarships

Students and young professionals are the future of buildings.

All current students and young professional are invited to join us to discover how they can help drive zero energy buildings to a tipping point that will transform the built environment. We are offering a special registration rate for qualified students of $245 (you must be a full time student to register at this rate and bring a valid student ID when you check-in at the conference). Young professionals should register for a full Forum pass. To register, visit: www.gettingtozeroforum.org/registration.

Want to attend the 2018 National Forum, but need financial assistance? Apply to the George Malek Memorial Scholarship Fund

We are pleased to introduce the George Malek Memorial Scholarship Fund for students and young professionals (with less than three years’ experience).  This scholarship honors the legacy of  NBI Board Member George Malek , director of energy efficiency services at Commonwealth Edison and an industry leader. We can think of no better way to remember George’s spirit and commitment to energy efficiency than to instill the same in the next generation of advocates.

Applicants can receive scholarships for registration and in some cases travel expenses.  If you are a current student of architecture, engineering, real estate development, public policy or another related field OR have been working for less than three years and need financial assistance, fill out our scholarship application here: gettingtozeroforum.org/forum-scholarships/

March 2: Rolling application process closes

March 9: Last day that applicants are notified of acceptance

Acceptance is dependent on students volunteering 4-6 hours at the National Forum event.
